The spring equinox marks the moment when the sun sits directly over the Earth's equator as it heads northward. The Northern and Southern Hemispheres share the sun's rays equally at the equinox, and night and day are roughly the same length. There are many ways that people celebrate Easter, some including attending church services, exchanged gifts, having festive meals with family and friends, and having an easter egg hunt. easter celebrates the defeat of death and the hope of salvation.
